Front and Centre, well...Their Street Intersection

Well, we all knew that Florida was at the center of the universe. Here, at Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island we find the literal corner of Front and Centre.

We found this Historic Marker near the intersection of Front and Centre Streets. It commemorates a 1777 action against the British.

Fort Clinch State Park, Amelia Island, Florida.

This is an aerial photo of the fishing pier at Fort Clinch State Park. At the right, top of the photo is Cumberland Island. The water is part of the St. Mary's River. The next three photos were taken on this pier.

Aerial photo and overview model of Fort Clinch. Construction of this structure started in 1847, but it became obsolete and was never totally completed.
It is now part of a State Park.
