This is the Ayasofia
(aka Aya Sofia, Hagia Sophia, Church of Holy Wisdom) in Istanbul,
one of the dominant museums, formerly a mosque and an orthodox church.
Rebuilt by Emperor Justinian around 532 CE, and famous for its massive dome,
it was the largest cathedral in the world for almost 1000 years. Click
here to
see its replica in Tarpon Springs, Florida, USA.
