This section also includes pictures from "Central America".
South America is a continent that ranks fourth in world area
and fifth in world population.
In April, 2005, we made a major foray into South America with visits
to Ecuador and to Peru.
From Ecuador, we went to the famed Galapagos Islands, and from Peru, we traveled to the Lost Inca City of Machu Picchu.
Then, in January, 2006, we took a cruise around Cape Horn, starting in Santiago,
Chile, and ending in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
